WhatsApp has announced plans of introducing two new features soon. One, it is currently testing the scope of searching for local businesses that offer specific products within the app itself. Second, WhatsApp has also launched multi-device support, enabling users to link their Mac and iPhone without joining the TestFlight beta program.
In addition, WhatsApp users are also likely to see the launch of the highly anticipated disappearing mode soon.

At present, the Facebook-owned messaging platform is testing new features that promote e-commerce on WhatsApp. The new features are being tested in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
As of now, WhatsApp does not allow advertisements to run on the platform, which makes the new feature even more interesting. It will allow users to search for local stores on the application and connect with local services easily. Initial reports suggest that Whatsapp is expected to include businesses such as local services, retail, and food.
Matt Idema. VP of Business Messaging, Facebook said that this could be one of the ways users can initiate a commerce process in Whatsapp. He also confirmed that there is a strong possibility of the feature being expanded to other countries such as Indonesia and India in the near future.
iOS Users Will Finally Enjoy Multi-device Support
It seems like the wait is finally over for iOS users. WhatsApp users who run it on a stable iOS version will soon enjoy multi-device support. Besides, the company has begun testing the initial version of multi-device support on iOS and Android.
Currently, the feature is beginning to roll out on a stable channel for iOS users. As things stand, only four devices can be connected out of which, none of them can be phones, barring the main device.
Disappearing Mode to Make Whatsapp Beta Debut
WhatsApps’ disappearing mode has been on the cards for a while now. WhatsApp users will finally be able to experience it soon. The feature is similar to the “vanish mode” on Instagram, wherein messages are automatically deleted after some time has passed.
The WhatsApp beta for Android has disclosed quite a lot of data about this feature. Users will be able to choose for how long they want their messages to stay before they are deleted.
All these features are primarily aimed toward enhancing user experiences and simultaneously building an e-commerce ecosystem in different countries.
