Adyen, one of the leading fintech platforms has announced that it is working with Apple to introduce Tap to Pay on iPhone for its customers in the U.S.
The new solution will enable customers to make contactless payments with their iPhones in the U.S.
Currently, Apple is closely working with enterprise commerce and customer platforms including NewStore and Lightspeed Commerce to make this feature available to more businesses.
With strong backing from Adyen, NewStore will pilot the new feature with its current customer, Vince.

Benefits for Adyen’s customers
The Tap to Pay feature will offer a range of benefits to Adyen’s customers. Adyen’s customers will now be able to use a payment solution that is secure, easy to use, and scale.
Besides, businesses will be able to make and accept contactless payments with their iPhones. These include payments made via contactless debit and credit cards, digital wallets, and Apple Pay.
One of the key requirements of the Tap to Pay feature is that users require an iPhone XS or higher model and a supporting iOS application.
Kamran Zaki, Chief Operations Officer, Adyen said that in-person payments have evolved and customers are increasingly demanding affordable, easy to scale, and reliable payment solutions. Hence, adding the Tap to Pay option for iPhone users was a logical thing to do.
He further added that a lot of businesses in the U.S. are providing iPhones to their employees to improve the overall shopping experience of their customers. He said that the company is looking forward to working with Apple to offer another secure payment solution on the iPhone.
Adyen launches new embedded financial products
Very recently, Adyen announced the rollout of new embedded financial products. The company announced the launch of ‘Adyen for Platforms’ and ‘Issuing’.
The company’s press release said that marketplaces and platforms will be able to provide customized financial experiences for users, including individual sellers and business owners who use these products.
In addition, the full suite of platforms and products will help businesses open up new revenue streams and enhance customer loyalty.
